A Bit About Me

My name is Donovan Taylor, and outside of surfboard shaping, I'd like to say I'm a normal kid. I graduated from Kahuku High and Intermediate School in 2024. I took a short gap semester and taught surf lessons with Jamie O'Brien at the Turtle Bay Ritz-Carlton. In January of 2025, I began school at Honolulu Community College, but later decided the schools in Hawaii were all pretty bad. I transferred to UVU in August of 2025 and completed my first year of college. It took some time, but I eventually realized it wasn't Hawaii colleges that were the problem; it was just college in general. Since February of 2026, I have been attending MTECH, and I'm currently training to be a certified welder (I'm loving it). In my spare time, I go snowboarding, skating, fishing, hiking, exploring, and work part-time at Board of Provo, where I sell Snowboards and Skateboards. I'm super excited to see what else the future holds for me and surfboards. As for now, I'm going to pass the time that I'm in Utah by designing more clothing, working on my brand, and working hard to get better at welding.
